# Failed to retrieve IP in console

1. Make sure you have selected the right adapters in the SweatConsole settings tab. If you have selected the wrong adapter, you can click on the dropbox and select the correct adapter. After you have selected the right adapter you will need to restart SweatConsole.
2. Sometimes it happens, that your console is not getting or retrieving the IP address even when you have selected the correct adapter. To fix that: remove the lan cable from the back of your console. Wait 5-10 seconds and plug it back in the Console. Now try to connect to the lan.
